Google Search is Geting Worst?
After using Google Search for the last 4 - 5 years, I finally stopped using it. Yes, you heard it right. I stopped using it. Haven’t you noticed that it’s getting harder and harder everyday to search what you need using Google?
In my opinion, if Google doesn’t clean their search, then Microsoft is now in the right track of buying Yahoo. Google market share right now is around 60%, while combined market share of Microsoft and Yahoo is just 30%. If Google search will be questioned by many people because the search engine is getting worst, Microsoft-Yahoo merger is definite enough power to turn around the market share and dominate search market.
I’m currently using Microsoft’s live.com search for 1 best reason I can give, minimal trash results. Giving me much relevant search results and lesser pages to check while searching.
Am I hearing that Google is very far from Microsoft-Yahoo since they also dominate email market and YouTube? Think again. The cash cow of Google is the Google Search. Without it, it won’t be able to fund those big projects such as the Gmail, YouTube, and etc. Where do you think Google put all those Ads from Google Adsense? In YouTube or Gmail, probably not. My best guess is in Google Search.
I hope Google does something with their Search database as soon as possible.

I agree. I started with Live Search and I liked it. Wanting to test the waters; I tried Google Search and yuck.
The map feature was a pain to navigate around without a touchscreen the results always started near my actual location verse a specific area code. This sucks because I don’t work from home (I drive within 100mi radius daily running service). So if I’m 100 miles away from home… but want to look for the number to a Walmart near my home… I can’t without a big hassle.
I like how Live Search allows me to specify a City or Zip code, although I think they should make that process a tad easier. Before searching a city or zip code, you have to search for the city or zip code. Once it finds the right City or Zip code, only will it then allow you to search for your desired query.
The good thing is it keeps your recent cities on record, so after a couple of uses you can simply select nearby areas quickly. Also the GPS function also works on a pinch.
